The International Day of Dance together with an Honored Artist of Russia.

On the 29th of April there was a meet-the-artist event of all the generations of “Kostroma” Ballet and “The Governorate Ballet School” with Anatoliy Zhuravlyov, an Honoured Artist of Russia and the first professional artist of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” who dedicated all his life to the art of dance. On this day the colleagues and the friends of the artist congratulated the master of stage on his well-deserved professional ballet retirement.

A long-waited for third volume of the textbook called “Grammar of the Russian Dance. Theory and Practice” by Anatoliy Borzov has finally come out.

This book written by Anatoliy Borzov, a Professor, an Academician of Petr Academy of Arts and Sciences, a “Knight of Folk Dance”, came out as a textbook. It was supposed to be a work in three volumes – that is quite a fundamental scientific effort

“Kostroma” is working on a new premier.

As a part of working on the program called “The Street of the World” the Ballet’s leading artists attended a workshop given by Colin Dunn, a famous Irish dancer from «Riverdance». The artists had a chance to get to know the new national culture and new dancing material in VORTEX Centre in Moscow.

The final concert of the guest tour of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” took place in Ulyanovsk

On stage of the Palace of Culture “Gubernatorsky” the Ballet presented “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” much loved by Ulyanovsk citizens. The first Show was held last spring within the project «Nation’s Spiritual Health».

The Ballet discovers Penza.

It was for the first time ever that the “Kostroma” Ballet was to perform in the capital of Penza region. Penza Oblast Drama Theatre named after A. V. Lunacharsky hosted the concert the 7th show of the Ballet’s guest tour Novyi Urengoi – Ulyanovsk.
