The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” is to open the 12th season in the Folk Theatre in Moscow.

In 2016 the summer guest tour of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” in Moscow with the programme “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostoma” is going to take place on the new stage on Olimpiysky Prospekt, 14.

Since 2005 the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”, supported by Kostroma Region Administration, has been organizing the annual touristic project “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” in Moscow. For 11 years the performances about the Great History of the Great Country took place in the big concert hall of Cosmos Hotel.

Next year the Ballet is going to welcome its audiences in the modern building of Folk Theatre, built in modern style and equipped at the state-of-the-art level. The hall hosts up to 1,000 people and the quality of acoustics takes one of the leading places in Europe so the guests can truly enjoy the performances.

The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” is going to present the programme about the great history of the great country there. This cultural patchwork of the performance allows the audience to see the smallest details of life in multinational Russia. The colourful stage images take you through the history from the early Christianity in Rus to Tsar and pre-revolution Russian and to the first manned flight to cosmos and creation of famous Russian ballet. The geography of the performance is very large-scale: from the Caucasus mountains to the Asian steppes, the Arctic Ocean and the Black sea, the beautiful Volga and the powerful Yenisei. Along with the places there are changes of people, their daily routines, traditions and religions, of course.
