First concert of “Kostroma” Ballet in Ulyanovsk.
Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” closed the 54th International Music Festival “World, Epochs, Names”.
In 2016 the festival was dedicated to the 250th anniversary since the date of birth of Nikolai Karamzin, the writer. Musicians from Russia, Germany, Italy, Mongolia and Brazil performed for the audience. The program included 14 concerts some of which were also held in municipal subdivisions of Dimitrovograd, Novospasskoye, Staromainsky and Bazarnosyzransky regions.
The gala closing of the festival was held in the Center of Folk Culture “Gubernsky” with the full house. The Ballet presented the show about the great history of the great country “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma”.
Sergei Morozov, the Governor, highly appreciated the Company’s performance and its activities aimed at promoting Russian culture in Russia and abroad. “The Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” is undoubtedly a great piece of Russian legacy. I am really grateful that your Company managed to find time in its packed guest tour schedule to so splendidly perform on Ulyanovsk stage. I wish that “Kostroma” Ballet will always have full houses and see thankful audiences and ballet art admirers in the halls, like here in Ulyanovsk”, said the Head of the region.
At the festival Sergei Morozov gave a Letter of Gratitude to Yuri Tsarenko, the Chief Ballet Master, the Art Director of “Kostroma” Ballet, and an Honored Worker of Arts of the Russian Federation, for high professional skills and long-term fruitful activity.
“I really enjoyed the performance of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”. It was an amazing show with superb technique. I saw terrific staged turns with accurate acting and high level of performance and decorations”, shared her impressions Julia Seliverstova, a member of the audience.
It was the first time that the Ballet had performed in Ulyanovsk but it was greatly received by the participants of the festival - both pros in the sphere of choreography and just dancing art admirers.
