The social project of “Kostroma” Ballet called “Spiritual Health of the Nation” was held in Yaroslav

Within the framework of the project “Spiritual Health of the Nation” on stage of the Concert Hall “Millenium Ballet “Kostroma” performed “The  Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma””, the show about the history of Rus and the people that was seen by the fosterlings of the boarding houses, charity funds, arts companies and, of course, the long-time admirers of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”.

The social concert of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” is a new branch of the project “Spiritual Health of the Nation” chiefly aimed at making the ballet art affordable for the low-income people, the organizations who declared their wish to participate in the project got free tickets (invitations) for the show.

Fosterlings of orphan houses, boarding houses, rehabilitation centers, charity funds, art companies and admirers of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” were in the audience on that day.

The first show took place in November 2015 in Kostroma (the project is meant to be held annually in Kostroma). Yaroslavl and Kirov are the two cities that caught up with the idea. “Spiritual Health of the Nation” is a large-scale project that embraces many aspects of the creative, educational and social activities of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” and “The Governorate Ballet School” (Dance College).

In 2015 within the framework of the project “Spiritual Health of the Nation” the Ballet organized and held a charity heroic and historical tour of nine hero cities dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War called «Back Home with Victory!” for veterans of World War II and post-war hot spots of tension, survivors of Leningrad blockade, workers behind the front line and underprotected social groups.

In May 2015 the students of “The Governorate Ballet School” (College) and “The Children’s Dance School” gave some concerts for the students of Kostroma within the framework of the educational project called “The «Governorate Ballet School» Opens Its Doors…” and for children from low-income families, disabled children, orphans and children going in for choreography in amateur clubs of Kostroma and Kostroma Oblast within the framework of the charity project dedicated to the Children’s Day “The World Called the World of Dance”.

From June to September 2015 within the framework of summer guest tour “The  Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” in Moscow the Ballet realized a large-scale program to support veterans, survivors of blockades, the disabled, children from one-parent and / or low-income families, children from boarding schools, orphan houses and foster houses.
