The Ballet finished the 12th season of The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” in Moscow.
On the 15th of September there was the 80th performance of The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” in Moscow and it ended the Ballet’s 12th summer guest tour in the capital. Eighty shows in 92 days! Performed on stage of the Folklore Theater “RusskayaPesnya” for the first time.
The Administration of the Theater and Anton Sobyanin, the Director, congratulated the artists of the Ballet with the close of the 12th season in Moscow and the 1st one on stage of the folklore Theater “Russkaya Pesnya”. Every member of the Ballet’s company was given a DVD with the recording of “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” filmed in 2015 on stage of the Big Concert Hall “Cosmos”.
The 12th season was marked by some very important occasions:
- this year the Ballet’s guests and the audience included Alexander Beglov, an authorized representative of the Russian Federation President in the Central Federal District, Maria Zakharova, the Director of the Mass Media and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Sitnikov, the Governor of Kostroma Oblast, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, representatives of Moscow’s leading tour agencies, Russia’s top officials of the biggest tour operators that deal with welcoming foreign tourists to Russia.
- Hundreds of children, participants of the 7th World Children’s “Winners’ Games” from Bulgaria and Germany (fosterlings of the charity fund “Give Life” (“Podari Zhizn”), fosterlings of the Mother Theresa’s Sisters’ Society and fosterlings of the Psychoneurologic dispensary for adults No 12 of Moscow saw the show within the framework of the Ballet’s longstanding charity tradition of cooperation with charity organizations, funds, foster houses and boarding schools.
- On the 20th of July there was the 1,000th performance of “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma”. The honored guests of the anniversary concert were Alexander Beglov, an authorized representative of the Russian Federation President in the Central Federal District, and Sergei Sitnikov, the Governor of Kostroma Oblast.
- During the breaks between the main concerts of “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma” the Ballet, together with Nadezhda Babkina and artists and soloists of “Russkaya Pesnya” Theater, took part in the festive concert dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. The Ballet presented the turns “Filigree” and “Zimushka” (“Winter”) at the opening ceremony of the World Dog Show – 2016, a world, all-breeds dog show that took place in the international exhibition center “Crocus Expo”. The Ballet’s artists attended Sergei Nazarov’s workshop to study Irish dance to make a new fragment of the Ballet’s new program called “World Street”.
