The Second Social Concert of the Russian Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” for the people of Kostro

The Second Social Concert of the Russian Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” for the people of Kostro

The Ballet held the social concert for the socially underprotected within the framework of the Ballet’s project “The Spiritual Health of the Nation”. The project was started in the autumn last year. Now the Ballet has a good tradition to give social concerts in Kostroma every year. This year the Ballet welcomed children from Pervomaisky, Volzhsky and Chentsovsky orphan homes, the patients from the Rehabilitation Center, the kids from the Society for the Disabled Children and from the charity fund “Bely Delphin”. The audience could see the full version of “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma”, performance, well-known in Russia and abroad, about the great history of the great country.

The audience was impressed by the historical and ethnographical concept of the show and how the Ballet conveys the history, cultural values and characters of the united multinational people of Russia. One of the kindergarten teachers of Kostroma came up to the artists to express her gratitude, she said: “My husband and I got a lot of live and powerful energy. A field trip to your concerts must be in the school curriculum so that all the kids could see what Russia is like! So that they could feel patriotic and learn how many fraternal peoples live here!”

This concert was special for the youngest artists of the Ballet: it was the first time on stage that some solo parts were performed by Julia Sirotkina in “The Prayer” (graduated from the «Governorate Ballet School» in 2016), Olga Khristova as a ballerina in “Hello, the Country of Heroes!” (graduated from the «Governorate Ballet School» in 2016) and Valeria Zhuravleva in “The First Walk” (graduated from the «Governorate Ballet School» in 2013).

The concert of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” finished with loud rounds of applause and bunches of flowers which grateful spectators were allowed to give to the artists on stage where the dancing miracle had just happened.

Next year the tradition of holding social concerts in Kostroma will definitely continue so that more people including children, veterans and the retired could see the concerts of the Russian Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”.
