On stage of the Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Musa Gialil the Ballet gave a gala-concert consisting of the turns that have become symbols of the creative career of the Russian Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”; and there were some premiers, too!

It was the full house in Kazan during the performance of the Russian Russian National Ballet ‘Kostroma”. The audience saw “Volga sketches”, “Mysterious Rus”, “Once Upon a Time”, “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma" - the turns from the Ballet’s best shows.

It was the first time in Kazan that the audience saw the dances from the year 1999 called “Poteshnoye Village” and “Russian Souvenir” as well as the full version of the Asian-Buddhist block of the program “The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma" made in 2014 and a ritual Buddhist dance “Tsam” and “Yohor”, a Buryat dance.

The Ballet’s bright premieres – choreographic suites “Flamenco” and “Gypsies” marked the new direction of creative thought. They are the first fragments of the program called “World Street” that the Ballet is working on at the moment. Yuri Tsarenko, the director, the art director and the chief ballet master of the Ballet, meant the program to show the unity and the diversity of the international dance culture thus bridging the cultural relationships of the people from all over the world.

This is what has been left in the Ballet’s Comments Book after the concert in Kazan:

“A thousand thanks and all my respect for your work. It was a great pleasure!” (Moscow)

“Bravo! “Kostroma” is real Rus!” (Kazan)

“Thank you for what you’re doing. You are super!” (Ussuriysk)

“Good job! We are proud of Russia! Thank you!” (Kazan)
