“Kostroma” Ballet continues its quest tour in Yoshkar-Ola

The Show took place in Mariysky State Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Eric Sapayev. It was not the first time that the Ballet has come to the land of the Mari; it came here nine years ago with the program about Great Mysterious Rus. This time the Ballet presented a new show, «The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma”, telling about the history of Rus and the life of the people.  

It was a full house that night.

Konstantin Anatolyevich Ivanov, the Artistic Director of the Theatre, the Chairperson of the Mari Regional Branch of the Union of Theatre Activists of Russia, an Honoured Artist of Russia, a People’s Artist of the Mari El Republic, a laureate of the State Award of the Mari El Republic and an old friend of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”, greeted and thanked the Ballet’s artists, Yury Tsarenko, the Artistic Director and the Chief Ballet Master, an Honoured Art Worker of the Russian Federation, as well as Elena Tsarenko, the President of the Ballet and an Honoured Art Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, for the concert. Konstantin Ivanov noted the beauty of the show, the diversity of the cosmopolitan program and the amazing skills of the artists. He good-humouredly wished the Kostroma artists to include another turn in the program – a Mari dance.
