“Kostroma” Ballet started their guest tour in Novy Urengoi.

It is for the first time ever that the Ballet has gone on a tour of the cities of northern Russia, covering the cities of Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansisk Autonomous Okrugs, Perm Krai, the Republic of Mari-El, Tumen, Kirov, Penza and Ulyanovsk Oblasts.

Having travelled for 3,300 km by bus and then by train and leaving behind such cities as Yekaterinburg, Perm, Tumen, Nefteyugansk, Surgut and Noyabrsk the artists arrived at the farthest destination of their itinerary, and the farthest the Ballet has ever travelled, the city of Novy Urengoi.  

The modern building of a cultural and sports center “Gazodobytchik” hosted “The Russian National  Dance Show “Kostroma”. It was there that the Ballet was to present their story about Rus and the life of the people to the audience. The people especially liked the dance suite called “The Legends of the North” of the multinational program. At the finale of the Show the audience gave a large round of applause standing. The ovation and the entries in the Ballet’s Comments Book were a real gift for the artists who had just told the story of that part of Russia through their dancing.

The artists are to cover 9,110 kilometers, 2 time zones and to visit 8 cities in 8 subjects of the Russian Federation.
