The Ballet performed in the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow.

The Ballet performed in the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow. The event which the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” was invited to was dedicated to the presentation of Irina Zakharova’s new book called “A Magic Trip to Beijing”. Irina Zakharova is well known in China and Russia as an Honored Worker of Art and a sinologist. On that day her honored guests were Li Hui, the Ambassador of China in Russia; Dmitri Mezentsev, the Chairman of China - Russia Friendship Association, Maria Zakharova, the writer’s daughter and the Head of the Press Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with her family; Zhang Zhunghua, a plenipotentiary minister, the culture councelor of the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Director of the Chinese Culture Center in Moscow and many others.

The main theme of the presentation was the contribution to strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and Russia through culture, children’s art and different kinds of art including dancing.

On the threshold of the world tour of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” within the framework of the project called “Dancing Overture of the World” starting on December, 1st 2017 in Beijing and to maintain the Ballet’s relations with the Chinese Culture Center the Ballet presented a choreographic sketch called “Chinese Dance” and a Russian dance called “Russian Souvenir”.
