Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” represented Russia and Kostroma Oblast at the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students.
The event was visited by Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia
The 19th World Festival of Youth and Students is a large international event that hosted more than 30,000 young people from 156 countries of the world.
The Ballet received the invitation to take part in the Show “Rossiya” from the Directorate of Sports and Entertainment and Special Programs of the cultural branch of the project of the Festival. The letter spoke about the Ballet’s experience, high professionalism and its significant contribution to the Russian culture.
Other participants of the concert included “KORITEV” (Kamchatka), “Krasniye Busy” (Khabarovsk), “Skaziteli Altaya” (Altai), “Buranovskiye Babushki” (Udmurtia), “Show Feyeriya” (Saint Petersburg), “Parny Sab Lozhki” (the Urals), the Choir named after E. Popov (Ryazan), “Kubansky Kazachiy Khor” (Kuban), “Vaynakh” (Chechnya), “Nantsuk” (Kabardino-Balkaria).
The last turn of the concert was a famous song with a uniting spirit called “Shiroka Strana Moya Rodnaya” performed by Zara and all the participants of the Show.
