The Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” represented Kostroma Oblast at the Festival Shkin–Opera.

The culture and the music art of Kostroma region were represented by the Ballet “Kostroma” and Kostroma Governorate Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Pavel Gernshtein.

Beglov, the Authorized Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federative District, the head of the working party supported by the Russian Federation President on the issues of reconstruction of cultural heritage sites of religious significance, other cult buildings and sites, came on stage to greet the audience. 

The participants of the concert of musical rarities were the best companies from Moscow, Leningrad, Kostroma, Kaluga, Tambov, Ryazan and Vladimir Oblasts – Moscow Youth Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Moscow Oblast called “Instrumentalnaya Capella”, the Governorate Orchestra of Moscow Oblast, the Governorate Wind Orchestra of Kaluga Oblast Philharmonic Society, Russian State Horn Orchestra conducted by S. A. Polyanichko (Saint-Petersburg), Moscow Music Theatre “Gelikon-Opera”, the Company of Russian Folk Music “Dmitrovskiye Rozhechniki”, State Academic Dance and Song Company of Tambov Oblast called “Ivushka”, State Theatre of Dance “Kazaki Rossii (Lipetsk Oblast) and some others.
