The International Day of Dance together with an Honored Artist of Russia.

Anatoliy Konstantinovich Zhuravlyov, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, and a soloist of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”, has performed on professional stage for 38 years. He is a gifted dancer of a unique talent who performed the first parts in choreographic compositions “Vokhomskaya Izbovaya”, “Podarochnaya”, “Vorotse”, “Vo Derevne Olkhovke”, “Flotskaya Plyasovaya”, “Bystrinochka”, “Poteshnaya”, “Bolshoi Kazachiy Plyas”, “Prazdnichnaya”, the prologue “Original Rus”, “Zaschitniki”, “Chainaya”, “Legend of the North”, “Tsam”, “Gypsies” and many others.  

The evening was packed with events: an actors’ party, congratulations, surprises, recollections, words of gratitude from the Ballet’s administration and Kostroma Oblast Governor, flowers, presents, a cake with his name on it and fanfare.

Anatoliy Zhuravlyov perfomed a ritual that he started 25 years ago: to finish the guest tours of the Ballet by throwing underskirts in the air and dropping boots on the stage floor while congratulating everybody on the end of the guest tour. 

Autograph sessions and photo shoots marked the end of this eventful day.
