“Kostroma is Russia’s soul”: the Russian National Ballet Kostroma dances on native stage.

The social project "Kostroma is Russia's soul" meets the spiritual needs of the people from Kostroma and Kostroma region and gives a chance to see the world of eternal beauty, it awakes patriotic feelings, gives hope for the future and demonstrates the power of the Russian state and the love for the small motherland which every Kostromavite shares.

Specially for its admirers Ballet “Kostroma” reconstructed its most popular choreographic compositions from the shows that have been performed in 20 years of their creative career: "Volzhskiye Zarisovki" (The Volga Sketches), "Za Sviatuyu Rus" (For Holy Rus), "Russkoye Predsatvleniye" (The Russian Performance), "Zagadochnaya Rus" (Mysterious Rus), “Zhili-Byli” (Once upon a time), “The Russian National Dance Show” and “Velikaya Zagadochnaya Rus” (The Great Mysterious Rus). Such dances as the round dance “Vesenniy Liricheskiy” (Spring Lyrical), “Gusarskaya Molodetskaya” (The Hussars’ Dance), “Nayesdniki” (Horse-riders), “Pleskach” (Splashing), “Zimushka” (Winter Dance), “Bolshoi Kazachiy Plias” (Big Cossack Dance) and others which have become the gold portfolio of the Ballet were performed by well known and loved dancers Larissa Zhuravliova (Honoured Artist of The Russian Federation), Anatoliy Zhuravliov (Honoured Artist of The Russain Federation), Yana Zadumova, Andrei Palagin, Sergei Lipin, Irina Rubtsova, Aleksei Rubtsov, Natalia Lazareva and Yulia Pavlova. The young graduates of the "Governorate Ballet School” college, now Ballet “Kostroma” dancers, also took part in the show. For many of them the participation in the events of the project “Kostroma is Russia's soul" became the first experience of guest tours held on the territory of Kostroma region.

The Ballet shows held in the cities and towns of Kostroma region became a big public event. All the participants of the social project "Kostroma is Russia's soul" have pleasant memories of the much anticipated meetings because they have really enjoyed the festive atmosphere and the beauty of the art of dance.
