Russia’s spirit wins the Old World. The Netherlands, September 27 - November 22.

The sophisticated European audience has not known Ballet “Kostroma" for long. The Ballet has visited London, Moscow and Paris and now it is the turn of the Benelux countries to see the performance.

Russian National Ballet "Kostroma" has been receiving guests on the Russian land in the concert hall "Cosmos" in Moscow for six years. It is there that thousands of tourists once they have seen the Russian National Dance Show "Kostroma" gave it a second name of the Russian Dance Miracle. By leaving exited entries in the guest book and by giving warm rounds of applause during the performances the foreigners invite Kostroma dancers to have a tour in their countries so that they could have a chance to see the wonderful performance again or to show it to their dear and near. This year the Ballet Company gave two guest tours for their admirers in Europe.

The Company visited 42 cities of Holland within 57 days and performed the Russian National Dance Show 43 times. The Dutch called the Ballet “Spirit of Russia” and gave the dancers a standing ovation every time the Show finished. The Ballet performed on the country’s best theatre stages in Rotterdam, where the fourth world premier of the ballet took place, in Amsterdam and Haag. The dancers had a chance to experience the ancient culture of the Kingdom, its customs and traditions. They were also lucky to learn about the local hospitality from personal everyday communication.

Kostroma dancers do not say good-bye to the country of tulips and wind mills, they promise to come back next year.
