Directly from Russia comes the Australian Premiere of "KOSTROMA", proudly presented by Grand International Concerts in association with Russian National Dance Kostroma; is best described as simply a spectacular and exhilarating high-energy dance production that takes you on a bewitching journey from the Arctic north to the southern Steppes, the peaks of the Caucasus to the depths of Siberia. It was named after the place of its birth and the cradle of the Romanov Dynasty, an ancient Russian town situated on the banks of the Volga River. This theatrical experience has already won the hearts of audiences worldwide and it is presented in its most refined form of Russian traditional performance art in the programme with clever great prowess, uniting lyrical sketches with elements of folklore and ancient Russian epic, whilst preserving the flavor of both Soviet and contemporary Russia. As one of Russia’s most expensive stage productions with its unique music and gripping effects, leading audiences into a luxurious and fun tale full of memorable surprises.
"KOSTROMA" truly uncovers the Russian Culture through the nature of its people, social status and national coloring. Audiences will witness the temporal, urban village, culture of Russia.
