“Kostroma" celebrates the 1,000th anniversary of Yaroslavl.
While being on their annual summer tourist project “The Russian National Dance Show” in Moscow, ballet “Kostroma” received an invitation to take part in the ceremonies dedicated to Yaroslavl’s anniversary. Kostroma dancers prepared "on-the-job", so to speak. Rehearsals took part in the concert hall “Cosmos" before the daily evening performance of the ballet “The Russian National Dance Show”.

“Back Home with victory" is a large-scale show about the Great Victory in the World War II. This is a theatrical performance about the incredible power of the Russian people, about their faith, hope and love which they never lost from the beginning of the War until the victorious end. The synergy of live music, dramatic performance, choreography, great scenery and advanced technology create a full picture of the civilian life during the War.

Kostroma dancers made a furor having presented a much beloved dance “Prazdnichnaya” (“The Festive Dance”) to the catchy tune of “Kalinka”. Dressed in costumes for the turn “Teplota Serdechnaya Skanyu Nazyvayetsa” (Heart's Warmth is Called Filigree) the girls of the Ballet “Kostroma” performed together with famous Russian singer Vitas in his popular composition "Opera No 2".
