“Kostroma” gave a concert in Surgut.
Surgut has become the second city where the Ballet came while being on guest tour in the northern regions of our country. For the first time ever the oil capital of the country saw «The Russian National Dance Show “Kostroma”, the show that have won people’s hearts in Russia and abroad.

“Kostroma” Ballet started their guest tour in Novy Urengoi.
It is for the first time ever that the Ballet has gone on a tour of the cities of northern Russia, covering the cities of Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansisk Autonomous Okrugs, Perm Krai, the Republic of Mari-El, Tumen, Kirov, Penza and Ulyanovsk Oblasts.
Having travelled for 3,300 km by bus and then by train and leaving behind such cities as Yekaterinburg, Perm, Tumen, Nefteyugansk, Surgut and Noyabrsk the artists arrived at the farthest destination of their itinerary, and the farthest the Ballet has ever travelled, the city of Novy Urengoi.

Russian National Ballet “Kostroma” took part in the opening ceremony of the III WORLD WINTER MILITARY GAMES.
The Ballet’s turn “The Holiday Dance”, staged by Yuri Tsarenko, an Honored Worker of Art of the Russian Federation, was a part of the opening ceremony called “Russian Souvenir”. Other participants were Maria Allash, a prima ballerina of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia and a Peoples Artist of the Russian Federation; the choir of the Academic Company of Song and Dance of the Russian Army named after A. V. Alexandrov, the combined choir of Moscow Military Music College named after lieutenant general V. M. Khalilov and some others.

“Kostroma” Ballet enjoys some Cuban culture.
Rosario Garcia Rodriguez, a dancer and a choreographer from Cuba, came to Kostroma to give some workshops to help staging the next turn of the Ballet’s new program called “The Street of the World”.

A traditional New Year meeting with Sergei Sitnikov, the Governor of Kostroma Oblast, took place at the premises of the Russian National Ballet “Kostroma”.
The meeting was held at the Ballet’s training facilities on the Eve of a great Orthodox holiday of Theophany. The Head of the region was accompanied by Olga Yeryomina, the Deputy of the Governor, Alexander Fisher, the Assistant of the Governor, and Natalia Bursha, the Head of the Department of Culture of Kostroma Oblast.
